Laura began competing in golf at the age of 12 and became a nationally ranked junior, she won two state championships and competed in three USGA Junior Championships, making the cut in each event. She earned a full-ride scholarship to Fresno State, where she won six individual titles, was named an All-American as a freshman, and was selected to represent Team USA in the 2005 U.S. vs. Japan Collegiate Matches, competing alongside players such as Stacy Lewis. She graduated with a degree in Communications.
Laura was introduced to the game—and to teaching—by her father, Ed, a PGA Member and former Fresno State All-American, who shaped her approach to instruction and player development.
In 2011, she began her professional career in the golf industry, relocating to the Palm Springs area, where she spent over a decade (2011–2022). During that time, she worked as an Assistant Professional at both public and private clubs before becoming the Director of Instruction at Big Rock Golf at Indian Springs. She was elected to PGA Membership in 2017.
Laura currently serves as the Program Director for First Tee – Fresno. Her passion is teaching beginners, helping new golfers feel comfortable on the course, and developing youth players of all ages and skill levels.
